Sanctuary Everywhere / Love Knows No Borders: Washington County Posada Vigil

Monday, December 17, 12:00pm to 1:00pm
Hosted by Interfaith Movement for Immigrant Justice
Washington County Courthouse
123 E. Main St.
Hillsboro, OR 97123
Join us for a special, year-end "Posada" Vigil, as we recall the Christian story of Mary and Joseph searching for sanctuary on the eve of Jesus' birth -- and show up in solidarity with border communities and our Central American kin of the caravans who today seek asylum and sanctuary from violence, poverty and persecution. In coordination with the American Friends Service Committee's National "Love Knows No Borders" Week of Action (Dec. 10-18th): ********************************** Gather with us on Monday, December 19th for our third Monday "Sanctuary Everywhere" vigil - an interfaith expression of solidarity with our immigrant and refugee community. This month's vigil is hosted and organized by friends from St. Alexander Parish in Cornelius, St. Pius X, and St. Matthew's Catholic Church in Hillsboro. Through prayer, song, testimony and ritual, our Washington County community will join together across nationality, language, class, race and creed in the fight against predatory ICE enforcement and all forms of injustice.
